Description

The Zoological Society of Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Creative Operations Assistant to join a fun and talented team of professionals in supporting one of the most cherished community assets - the Milwaukee County Zoo. This role is responsible for processing requests and improving existing processes for the Creative team and stakeholders - enabling the in-house Creative team to successfully deliver on organizational goals.

This role is scheduled to work 12 hours/week.

Employees are eligible to receive a free Zoo Pass up to family level, including parking!

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Maintain/manage the project management system and other tech-stack tools.
  • Interface with internal clients and graphic designer team to determine project/client needs and establish timelines.
  • Seek continuous improvement to the systems and processes used within the in-house creative team to optimize resources and maximize impact to help the business operate, innovate, and grow.
  • Effectively develop and implement change-management strategies that result in high adoption and improved efficiencies.
  • Isolate process inefficiencies and bottlenecks, offer solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical competencies.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, and files.
  • Plan and execute staff training, both for new employees and ongoing training.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree or technical certification in business administration or other related field, plus 1-3 years of work experience.
  • Proficiency with project management software required. Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workflow while still meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in a marketing agency/creative environment is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information with professionalism.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a highly collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, with flexible hours when necessary, including weekends and overtime.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the Milwaukee County Zoo.
  • Passion for animals and the environment and willingness to support the Society's and Zoo's missions and goals.
