TYLin's Chicago Rail + Transit team is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in transportation and infrastructure project development and delivery. The duties include planning and directing the execution of projects, mentoring assistant project managers and project engineers, performing business development activities, serving as pursuit manager and client manager, and preparing marketing proposals and presentations. Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Management and client management on transportation-related projects.

  • Develop production work plans, schedules and budgets.

  • Single point of contact for all client communications.

  • Work with other project managers and unit managers to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.

  • Lead Rail and Transit project team in analysis and design. Oversee performance of complex design.

  • Ensure proper codes and standards are being used on projects.

  • Work with project teams in supervising/mentoring technical staff and assistant project managers.

  • Supervise, coordinate and review the work of other engineers and designers.

  • Provide the design staff with guidance and assistance on projects.

  • Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Must have an Illinois P.E. license or qualifications to obtain IL PE by reciprocity, OR:

  • Be a Registered Architect (R.A) in the state of IL.

  • 15+ years of relevant engineering and management experience in transportation related design projects.

  • Candidate must demonstrate effective team leadership and project management experience, as well as the ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports.

  • Existing relationships in the Chicago area transportation clients preferred, as well as knowledge of their policies and procedures.

  • Experience with Microstation software.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $128,000 - $230,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
