The Senior Client Services Supervisor is responsible for providing first level customer service support. This includes supervising, training, and coaching a staff on billing, first reporting of claim, software application technical issues, basic usage of retail software products, and other customer service processes related to National Indemnity Company and Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies property and casualty operations.

This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE, and eligible for hybrid after six months on site. This position is NOT ELIGIBLE for employment visa sponsorship of any kind.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for supervising, answering questions and assisting in the instruction with others pertaining to billing, first reporting of claim, software application technical issues, basic usage of retail software products, and other customer service processes related to property and casualty operations.

  • Directs and trains staff on key job duties, answers questions and assists in the instruction with others in the customer service processes and underwriting related activities relating to commercial lines of insurance policies for the property and casualty operations.

  • Answers questions and supervises others in handling first level technical issues related to direct bill, binding, and basic usage of the Company's rating and policy servicing products for retail agents.

  • Participates in various customer service and claims reporting processes. Supervises, answers questions, and/or performs the daily workflow transactions.

  • Reviews customer service interactions and monitors the performance of staff personnel for quality assurance purposes.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience

  • Three or more years related work experience

  • Ability to perform basic math

  • Proficiency with Personal computer related software such as Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Preferred Knowledge

  • Principles of finance, business, statistics, and insurance

  • Insurance industry and marketing techniques

  • Knowledge of commercial automobile and property rating and policy coverages and endorsements

  • Company guidelines on acceptability and profitability for applications/accounts/policies

  • Understanding of Insurance coverages and rating and insurance products (preferred)

  • Has a strong desire to work with detail with accuracy
