This position will be an experienced and dedicated AHA Instructor to lead and facilitate BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) courses. This individual will also play a vital role in supporting marketing efforts, outreach, and assisting with general administrative tasks related to course offerings. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience teaching these courses and over 5 years of experience working in a hospital or medical setting. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching life-saving skills, contributing to the growth of the program, and supporting the overall mission of the organization.

  • Teach AHA Courses: Facilitate and lead BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses, ensuring adherence to the latest AHA guidelines. Provide high-quality instruction in both classroom and hands-on skills session formats.
  • Course Preparation and Delivery: Organize and prepare materials, manikins, and equipment for each class. Set up a conducive learning environment and ensure all tools are in working order before each session.
  • Student Assessment and Support: Evaluate student performance through written and practical exams, providing clear and constructive feedback. Offer guidance and support to students as they build competency in critical life-saving skills.
  • Maintain Certifications: Keep all AHA certifications and instructor qualifications current. Attend required AHA recertification courses as needed. Stay updated with changes in AHA protocols and best practices.
  • Marketing and Outreach Support: Work directly with the AHA Director to support marketing and outreach efforts for the AHA program. Assist with promotional activities, including the creation of marketing materials, social media outreach, and expanding the visibility of the program to healthcare professionals and the community.
  • Administrative and Operational Support: Handle general administrative tasks such as maintaining student records, ensuring compliance with AHA guidelines, scheduling courses, and tracking attendance and course evaluations.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with hospital staff, medical teams, and other departments to promote course offerings and identify training needs.


Education & Experience:



  • 5+ years of experience teaching BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a hospital or medical setting, with a deep understanding of clinical practices and emergency medical protocols.


Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:



  • Strong teaching and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners and create a positive, interactive classroom experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage course logistics.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and software for scheduling, marketing, and student record management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups, including healthcare professionals and laypersons.
  • A passion for teaching and empowering students to gain the skills they need to save lives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the AHA Director on outreach and marketing initiatives to grow the program.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in CPR and emergency medical training.


Licenses/Certifications:



  • AHA Instructor certifications for BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Current provider cards for BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
