Waste Connections is currently seeking a talentedTableau Cloud BI Developerto assist in the management, development and support of our BI solutions and Tableau environment. This candidate will communicate and recommend complex business processes and procedures and relevant information to resolve internal customer issues. Responsibilities include: Tableau Implementation and Management
- Creating and maintaining a newly built Tableau Cloud instance for the finance function.
- Optimizing Tableau dashboards to ensure high performance, usability, and accuracy.
- Managing and enhancing Tableau integrations with other data sources to maintain a seamless flow of information.
- Designing and deploying advanced Tableau features, including Tableau Pulse AI functions, to support predictive analytics and proactive reporting.
Financial Reporting and Analytics
- Developing and managing dashboards for financial reporting, accounting, and workforce analytics, that are intuitive and actionable for a variety of end-users, from field staff to C-suite executives.
- Providing expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to ensure dashboards align with business goals and decision-making needs.
Program Management and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborating with a team of consultants during the Tableau implementation phase, following agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
- Transitioning into a Tableau ownership role post-implementation, providing long-term support and maintenance.
- Supporting change management by enabling and upskilling other team members to develop their Tableau expertise.
- Acting as a key liaison and leading discussion between technical teams, finance professionals, and other business stakeholders.
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field. (Accounting / Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline). Tableau certifications are required.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau, including on-prem and Tableau Cloud.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting, and workforce analytics.
- Familiarity with data preparation and integration for Tableau.
- Expertise in UI/UX design and Tableau best practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to support agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with Tableau Pulse AI functions and predictive analytics is a plus.
