Job Description

The Program
Mallinckrodt is offering an 11-week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Here, you will be able to apply what you've learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service. Summary
  • The Commercial Effectiveness Department is seeking a summer intern to join their CRM Strategy and Execution Team to assist with the technology for managing and supporting customer relationships, called Veeva CRM. Throughout the summer, the intern will use tools such as Excel and Salesforce.com to build reports that provide analytics and insights into our data. The intern will be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and professional development through the duration of the internship. The candidate should have strong analytical and critical thinking skills in order to recommend actionable solutions to management. The candidate should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively, as ad hoc reporting will be a critical aspect of day-to-day responsibilities. At the end of the internship, the candidate will participate in a capstone presentation to share projects with upper management and explain their impact on Mallinckrodt. This is a hybrid position located in Bridgewater, NJ.
On-site days will be Tuesday and Wednesday. The other days will be remote Program will start on May 20th and end on August 1st.
Essential Functions
  • Assist with the creation of data quality reports
  • Diagnose Master Data inconsistencies within/outside of Veeva CRM
  • Provide analytics that will allow us to enhance strategic project plans to master data
  • Collaborate with IT team to load new data into Veeva and ensure necessary updates to existing data
  • Build reports/dashboards in Salesforce.com to analyze ad hoc issues and provide solutions on a timely basis
  • Utilize Salesforce.com reports to create dashboards that efficiently summarize findings
  • Use Excel tools and functionalities to clean, format, explore, and summarize data
  • Extract and analyze data from Veeva to provide insights to managers, sales representatives, and other department teams
  • Report on monthly sales and expense data
  • Conduct research and reconcile data to identify records with outdated information
  • Assist with the updating/review of training materials
  • Assist Commercial Effectiveness with documenting SOPs across departments
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Student majoring in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or another analytical discipline
  • Prior experience in data analytics
  • Required Skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and a proactive mindset
  • Preferred Skills: Salesforce, Veeva CRM, MS Access,
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
  • Throughout the summer, the intern will engage in regular discussions with an assigned mentor, seeking guidance on career development, industry insights, and project-related questions. The intern will report to the manager of the CRM Strategy and Execution Team, but he or she will also be working closely with the other individuals in this team. On a project-to-project basis, the intern will also collaborate with other teams in the Commercial Effectiveness Department, including Marketing Services, Incentive Compensation and Salesforce Enablement, Training, and Field Operations. The intern will also regularly interact with members of our IT team to troubleshoot technology issues as well as obtain a better understanding of our data.
