We're looking for a full time, Material Checker.

This position pays $19.65 per hour!

As the Checker, here's the work you'll do:

* Examines condition and verifies quantity of each shipment and notes any discrepancies.

* Prepares forms and other records for the identification and accountable controls of materials received or issued.

* May operate Forklift and Tow Motor for the movement and storage of materials if operator possesses a valid Forklift and Tow Motor permit.

* May be directed by the Stores Supervisor to whom assigned to assume the responsibility of directing the activities of the assigned workers for a limited period during the Supervisor's absence or preoccupation. May be required on special assignment to perform material handling duties when no labor crew is assigned.

* Checkers assigned to the Salvage Yard may be required to receive, lift, carry, pack and/or store hazardous waste materials. Employees so assigned will perform such duties under direct supervision until such time as they have completed special training for these duties as outlined in the Company's Hazardous Waste Training Program.

* Follows training when work requires collecting, transporting, storing, treating, disposing and/or otherwise handling of hazardous waste and its related documentation.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Ability to write legibly.

* Ability to establish and maintain accountable records of materials issued and received.

* Must understand training related to hazardous waste and its related documentation.

* Ability to successfully complete training course for Checkers or equivalent.

* May be required to perform material handling duties. May be required to operate Forklift and Tow Motor if operator has valid Fork Lift and Tow Motor permit.

And if you have these qualifications:

* High School Degree or GED preferred.

* Forklift License/Certificate (REQUIRED)

* Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for long periods of time.

* Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.

* Capacity to express thoughts orally.

* Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment.

* Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company's office or worksite.

* Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
