Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Technician in Asheville, NC. This candidate will support product quality review and associated manufacturing processes on 2nd and 3rd shift, including root cause corrective action, administrative quality documentation, and process completion (including MRB workload). Applicants should have some manufacturing or shop floor experience.

Job Duties:
*Support both quality assurance and quality control of manufactured components.
*Assist with technical problem resolutions as guided by precedent and by Process & Quality engineers.
*Ability to read technical drawings
*Assist with training proper Non-Conforming (NC) documentation on the shop floor.
*Communicate and collaborate with hourly employees, peers, quality engineers, process engineers, and supervisor.
*Assist production employees with resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action.
*Support shop floor to deliver business results while encouraging input from area personnel working within a self-directed workforce (Teaming) environment.
*Promote internal and external customer satisfaction and develop positive design engineering relationships.
*Support change management initiatives by aligning work tasks toward benchmarked 'best of class' performance and operational targets.
*Seek opportunities to implement, maintain, and continuously improve 5S methodology and other Lean principles in assigned areas.

Required Qualifications:
*Requisite and applicable industry, manufacturing / quality, and GS&T experience in support of project scope.
*Focus on communication and collaboration cross-functionally regarding GE production and quality.
*Proactive in driving GE deliverables and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
*Working knowledge of the GE MRB or a similar first article component inspection and verification process.
*Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
