To work #bettertogether, we operate with a hybrid working mode in the United States (US). For those near a US hub location, we gather in our office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For the remaining days, we work from home. Our current hub locations are in Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, and South Bend, IN.

The Senior Consultant for the Strategic PARtnership Consulting (SPARC) team at Press Ganey coordinates and leads project teams of internal consultants, advisors, and growth professionals, overseeing the delivery of traditional and transformational human experience consults, strategic support, and projects across multiple clients. The Senior Consultant is ultimately accountable for the delivery services to assigned clients, typically large, complex organizations. Responsibilities include management of interdisciplinary teams, design of statistical, financial and operational analyses, quality control, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of existing client relationships, industry research, and expansion of business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement Management and Delivery

  • Manage and deliver defined scope of engagement plan including oversight of related activities, timelines, staff scheduling, deliverables and outcomes.

  • Apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to demonstrate the value of our solution to clients and prospective clients.

  • Lead and focus team efforts on data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, process design, and developing solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met.

  • Utilize tools to measure engagement progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectations.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and manage successful client relationships at the VP level and above, generating positive client feedback on quality, value, innovation, delivery, and results.

Directing and Leading Teams

  • Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and ability to accurately gauge others to appropriately guide thinking and behavior, especially in difficult situations.

  • Successfully lead and manage a diverse team of professionals on large complex engagements by fostering a collaborative team culture.

  • Orchestrate multiple complex engagement work streams through others by directing and leading, not necessarily doing.

  • Provide quality control and performance outcomes for work performed by the engagement team.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) to a variety of audiences; must be able to persuade and influence the actions of others; interactions will range from routine to complex and include formal and informal presentations, one-on-one and group discussions.

  • Prepare final client status reports and create presentations to clients and engagement staff that demonstrate full command of factual material.

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships including executive leadership.

Sales and Practice Development

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to expand current engagements and identify new business and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Build a strong network of client and industry relationships which strengthen the Press Ganey brand in the market and provide avenues that generate new business.

  • Participate as a leader in practice management and innovation which includes creating and enhancing current tools, methodologies, recruiting practices, and personnel development processes.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of work experience in healthcare

  • Specific experience/background in the following: Director or senior level consultant role; experience working with complex data sets and risk models in a payer environment; background in leading performance improvement and/or change management initiatives in a complex, payer environment; experience in medical management design and operations (e.g., utilization review, medical management, case management); healthcare corporate strategy/innovation development; healthcare quality improvement, change management, performance improvement initiatives.

  • Requires strong data analytic skills (Excel, Access, SQL, SAS, etc.)

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Products (Word, PPT, Excel) to support document preparation

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to quickly adapt to multiple priorities

Education

  • Master's degree required from an accredited university (disciplines preferred include business administration, health policy and administration, finance, or clinical degree)
