Role Summary

The Senior End User Computing (EUC) Specialist at Rivian will be responsible for managing end-user computing services, including device lifecycle management, image and patch management, software deployment, and VDI environments. The role also involves supporting AWS infrastructure and improving end-user onboarding and training processes. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient IT solutions and a seamless end-user experience. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential to support Rivian's IT operations. This position will be located in Normal, IL and will report to our End User Computing/Services Manager


Responsibilities

  • Focus specifically on the management and ownership of Windows Devices in the manufacturing/OT environment, while understanding the unique and business-critical functions of these devices.
  • Strive for improvements in stability, uniformity, automation and efficiency that will result in maximum uptime of devices.
  • Help develop Rivian's strategy around MES End User Computing Services including, Device management, image management, patch management,software deployment, software lifecycle management.
  • Develop improved processes for Device Onboarding (via enhanced Imaging/scripting, etc.).
  • Ensure patches/software updates are thoroughly tested before deployment.
  • Manage and maintain positive working relationships with vendors.
  • Provide 3rd level support for end-user equipment.
  • Document new processes/procedures and train L1 staff to carry out those tasks.
  • Work with Computing Services/Network/Security/Service Desk Manager to deliver best-in-class IT to the Rivian workforce.
  • Work with Rivian Manufacturing and Engineering teams to design state-of-the-art IT solutions.
  • Manage communications with a diverse set of stakeholders effectively.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure and resources as part of end-user computing solutions.
  • Manage Omnissa/VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments and ensure optimal performance for end-user workstations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with tools such as SCCM, Dell KACE, MDT, or other system management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow is a Plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build strong positive relationships.
  • Strong Customer Service mindset.
  • Windows 10/11.
  • Experience implementing new technology and management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and management.
  • Experience managing and maintaining Omnissa/VMware Horizon VDIs.

Top Important Skills/Responsibilities:

  • 5-8 years experience in Intune.
  • 5-8 years experience configuring Windows Auto-Pilot.
  • 5-8 years group policy management experience
  • 1-2 years experience in VMWare VDI Environment.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range: $89,900 - $112,400 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
