WHO YOU ARE

We are seeking a talented, creative, and experienced Senior Manager, Lead Video Editor to join the Video Team and lead the editing team. You'll be a natural leader skilled at managing and mentoring video editors to achieve exceptional results aligned with the brand's creative vision. In addition to crafting high-quality video content, this role will involve managing and mentoring other video editors on the team, fostering their growth, and ensuring the team delivers exceptional work.

The ideal candidate has a passion for storytelling with a proven track record of editing diverse video content like YouTube videos, event coverage (virtual and in-person), and internal company videos. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing creativity with technical precision while maintaining high standards. This role requires a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual capable of strategic oversight and hands-on editing work. This role reports into the Senior Manager of Video Production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Edit short-form and long-form video content for various platforms, including but not limited to interviews, demos, YouTube videos, social media, virtual events, in-person events, and internal comms.

  • Manage and mentor a team of video editors, providing regular feedback and guidance to foster professional growth and ensure high-quality output.

  • Collaborate with producers and project teams to bring creative vision to life while aligning content with the brand's messaging, goals, and standards.

  • Lead by example, creating engaging video content with dynamic storytelling, transitions, and graphics.

  • Oversee all aspects of post-production, including audio mixing, color correction, motion graphics, and quality control.

  • Develop and maintain organized video libraries, managing media assets for easy access and future use.

  • Stay current with industry trends, integrating innovative techniques and tools to elevate the team's video content.

  • Facilitate team meetings, knowledge sharing, and brainstorming sessions to foster foster collaboration and creativity.

WHAT YOU'LL HAVE
  • 10+ years of professional video editing experience in agencies, design studios, or in-house marketing teams, with 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative storytelling, technical editing skills, and corporate video production across multiple formats.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. Motion graphics expertise is a plus.

  • Track record of success in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and maintaining high-quality output under tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and feedback.

  • A fearless, creative mindset with relentless attention to detail.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring creative teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in film and video production, digital media or multimedia arts, broadcast journalism or media studies, graphic design, or a related field.

  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training.

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Wrike, Figma, and Google Suite.

  • Experience with live streaming or virtual event production.

  • Knowledge of creating content for YouTube and social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) especially snappy short form vertical content.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace apps: Slides, Docs, Sheets and Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $139,000 - $194,200.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
