General Laborer

The Production Laborer is responsible for performing various support tasks as assigned in order to assist the daily operations of manufacturing. Tasks may include but are not limited to cleaning worksite, loading, unloading, assembling, packing, and sorting. The General Laborer must be flexible and able to move between positions and departments according to operational need. This position has no supervisory duties.

1. Assists with production as needed.
2. Cleans production area by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
3. Loads and unloads items from machines, carts, and dollies.
4. Feeds or places items onto equipment for processing.
5. Grease and/or oils equipment when asked.
6. May operate hand and power tools such as electric saws, impact driver, drill drivers, etc.
7. Measures and cuts material to specifications.
8. Identifies damaged or poor-quality product and notifies supervisor.
9. Marks product for identification.
10. Sets up equipment as described by work procedures.
11. Prepares and packs finished product for shipment.
12. Assist team members in other areas if needed.
13. Performs other assorted duties as assigned by Lead or Manager.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• This position is based in a plant environment where proper PPE will be required while performing tasks and duties. The position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods. As part of the regular duties of the job, this position requires the use of hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. This position regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
