Sr. Ab-initio Developer (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 12 + years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in External Scheduler Data Warehousing Concepts Scheduling Basics ETL SQL Data Integration Ab Initio GDE Ab Initio ConductIt Ab-Initio Cooperating System Ab-Initio and Unix Shell Scripting. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Oversee the integration of various data sources using ETL processes to maintain data consistency and accuracy.
• Provide expertise in SQL to optimize database queries and improve performance.
• Utilize Ab Initio GDE and ConductIt to develop and manage data processing workflows.
• Implement and maintain External Scheduler to automate data processing tasks.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of data warehousing solutions by leveraging Ab Initio Cooperating System.
• Develop Unix Shell Scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes.
• Maintain documentation of data warehousing architecture and processes for future reference.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data warehousing solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in External Scheduler and Data Warehousing Concepts.
• Should possess in-depth knowledge of Scheduling Basics and ETL processes.
• Proficient in SQL and Data Integration techniques.
• Extensive experience with Ab Initio GDE ConductIt and Cooperating System.
• Must be skilled in Unix Shell Scripting.
• Nice to have experience in other data warehousing tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with minimal supervision.
• Must be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Should have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90000 - $115000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
