Senior Applications Engineer

A Senior Application Software Engineer job in Centennial, CO is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace customers. We are seeking a talented Software Engineering professional to join our exciting team with focus on aerospace systems. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience within the aerospace industry or other highly regulated industry experience.

*A Secret or Top Secret Clearance is preferred

Job Duties:
* Software requirements decomposition, analysis, definition, and traceability
* Software design and development and lead/conduct design reviews

Required Qualifications:
* 10+ years software development/integration experience - preferably with aerospace embedded systems
* 3+ years software requirements and design development
* 5+ years Linux OS experience
* Fully proficient in C++ programming including architecture and board support packages
* Fully proficient in object-oriented programming.
* Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) standards for space data and information systems.
* Command and Control Message (C2MS) standards
* Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) technologies.
* Pub/Sub Architecture
* Secret or TS Clearance

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $140,000 annually. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
