Job Description:

About the Position:

The Genie Leadership Development Program (GLDP) immerses high potential recent graduates in three 12-month assignments within various areas of Genie. Rotations include Production Supervisor, Associate Sales Manager, and Associate Product Manager. Rotations are located at our headquarters in Bothell, manufacturing sites in Moses Lake and Redmond, and sales can be anywhere in the US.

The cross-functional assignments will provide an opportunity to expand team member's management skills and knowledge of the Genie's business. We expect GLDP participants to advance as leaders at Genie, as the cross-functional exposure creates well-rounded team members who understand how the business works and how each function contributes to our company's success. Successful GLDP participants will be placed in manager level positions throughout the organization after completion of the program in good standing.

The GLDP is open to candidates who have an upcoming graduation in 2025 or have graduated within the last two years. All candidates must be committed to completing all three years of the program.

Applications for the GLDP are being accepted now, with first rotations starting June 23, 2025.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will be dependent on business needs and might be tailored to individual strengths and interests. However, you can expect to -

  • Complete three 12 month rotations through the position titles and responsibilities of Production Supervisor, Associate Sales Manager, and Associate Product Manager
  • Develop a robust understanding of how the Genie business is run, including our products, customers, and operating system
  • Enjoy dedicated coaching and mentoring from industry authorities while working in critically important roles that will prepare you for your own leadership role
  • As a production supervisor, work in manufacturing environment handling escalations and solving problems and is responsible for the continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale within your area and for the safety and performance your team members
  • As an associate sales manager, maintain and build customer relationships to increase Genie market share by driving or flying to rental yards to partner with customers on their long term fleet strategy and provide quotes and other information as needed
  • As an associate product manager, be responsible for vertical or boom lift product lines or LATAM region through understanding the voice of the customer and managing long term product strategy, new product development, and profit and lost statement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, industrial engineering, or similar field or graduated within the last two years
  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work
  • Commitment to three 12-month assignments
  • Ability to relocate anywhere in the United States
    • Production rotation in Moses Lake, WA or Redmond, WA
    • Sales rotation anywhere in US
    • Product management rotation in Bothell, WA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in sales or customer service
  • Business educational background and understanding in marketing, finance, economics, etc.
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Action oriented and strong follow-up
  • Positive, can-do attitude; self-starter
  • Attention to detail

Salary Range:

  • The base salary for this position is $78,250 USD. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a 3% performance bonus. Compensation changes throughout/at end of program provided meeting performance expectations.
