The Project Manager will assist MAAG America's sales organization managing customer projects from early opportunity through start-up. The Project Manager will be the customer advocate and "voice of the customer" within the company. In concert with Sales, the Project Manager will ensure best-in-class project management and communication with both internal and external parties.

Work Environment

Work in this position is predominately conducted in a temperature-controlled environment within a cubical space, office, or meeting room using a computer and standard office tools. Periodic visits to the manufacturing and assembly areas in the plant are required at times. The employee may be exposed to higher temperatures and humidity while in the plant as it is not air-conditioned. While in the plant the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and elevated noise levels. Proper PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, safety-toed footwear) is required to be worn in the plant.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to interact with both internal and external customers in person, via phone, email, Teams, text, etc. Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and written, and be able to listen and comprehend. This position can be high paced therefore the employee must be able to adapt to stressful situations.
  • The employee is required to sit or stand for long durations of time while working on a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While in the plant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing may be required.
  • Occasional prolonged sitting when traveling to another facility.
Education

Mandatory

  • Experience in a technical discipline in lieu of a four-year degree

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical)
  • Project Management Certificate
Professional Experience

Mandatory

  • Desire to work with customers and have interactions through visits, calls and emails
  • Application Engineering experience
  • Understanding of basic financial metrics
