FP&A Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This role will provide critical financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and enhance financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of insurance finance, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive performance.




  • Financial Planning & Forecasting:

    • Support the development of the annual plan and rolling forecasts.
    • Partner with business leaders to develop key financial assumptions and scenario analyses.

  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify key performance drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Business Partnering:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
    • Support leadership with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis of financial data.

  • Process Improvement & AdHoc Analysis:

    • Continuously improve and streamline reporting processes and analyses through customer feedback and applied learnings/experience in the role to improve efficiency.
    • Contribute to financial modeling improvements in planning and forecasting to enhance process efficiencies.
    • Engage in ad-hoc analysis and special projects to support the business as needed.
    • Enhance financial models, reporting tools, and dashboard automation using Tableau, Prophix, or other analytics tools.



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred, CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • 3+ years' experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Insurance experience in Excess & Surplus lines or Property & Casualty lines a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet and financial modeling skills. Prophix or similar planning tool experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize new applications.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ethical and trustworthy, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
