Compensation Grade: M29Compensation Details: Minimum: $114,950.00 - Maximum: $114,950.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) Office of Local Health ServicesJob Description: Responsibilities Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Director, Office of Local Health Services to work within the Division, Public Health Infrastructure. The Director will provide overall leadership, direction, and oversight of the Office; direct and lead fiscal and administrative operations to ensure that Office of Local Health Services personnel and fiscal resources are allocated appropriately and in accordance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations, and Department of Health policies and procedures. The Director will lead the Office in uplifting the New York State Department of Health's mission to protect and promote health and well-being for all, building on a foundation of health equity. The Director will also lead the development and implementation of the State's Health Improvement Plan, also known as the Prevention Agenda, that supports the development of Local Health Departments Community Health Improvement Plans and Local Hospitals Community Service Plans. The Director will also lead the facilitation and coordination of the Prevention Agenda Interagency Taskforce. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of experience in the direction and/or management of a public health program, health/human services program, health regulatory program or community-based services program/organization; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and eight years of such experience; OR ten years of such experience. The years of experience must have included policy formulation, program planning, design, implementation, evaluation and/or allocation of resources. At least four years of experience must have included supervision of staff and program management. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available. Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. HRI participates in the E-Verify Program.
