Position Summary The Engineering Intern will be a key member of our Process Engineering team out of our St. Louis, MO location. This person will be actively working in a plant environment to assist engineers with day-to-day project activities, ranging from data collection and analysis to troubleshooting. Key Internship Info: Dates: Summer 2025 (May-August) Location: St. Louis, MO Work Environment: Onsite What You'll do as an Engineering Intern Identifyand organizeplant drawings into PLM - reviewarchived information formost up to date drawings and scanold drawings Monitor energy usage for plant (sustainability basis) - natural gas, electric, compressed air, VFD opportunities Perform heat tracing and insulation review of tank farm, hot water, chilled water, and steam Review line freeze protection, safety, and energy conservation Working with maintenance on identifying areas of improvement Performing batch size optimization responsibilities - right size batch for production runs, single document with batch size to product cases, batch size to desired package line run time The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program pursuing a major in Chemical Engineering Junior year requirements must be completed by program start (May 2025) Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed Preferred: Performing data collection and analysis using Excel and/or Python Troubleshooting experience Completed project work within engineering and internships Other: High focus on safety and quality Verbal And written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
