We are seeking a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer / Project Manager to lead design teams bringing innovative solutions to municipal clients in the areas of water treatment and distribution; wastewater treatment and collection; decentralized treatment; and water quality. As a senior engineer in our fast-growing Water & Wastewater group, you'll contribute to the planning, permitting, design, and construction of water infrastructure projects in communities throughout New England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and construction of complex water and sewer projects, including water distribution systems, wastewater treatment, and drinking water treatment.
  • Oversee the preparation of studies, engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates by engineers under your direction.
  • Lead client meetings and internal team meetings to balance work and achieve design milestones.
  • Participate in client planning and brand expansion strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize internal financial software to prepare invoices and process payments, manage the financial health of projects and assist in forecasting staff workloads.
  • Mentor staff engineers with a focus on teaching technical skills for public bidding and construction
  • Attend public meetings and present virtually and in person.
  • Interact with regulators and state agencies; seek and obtain funding for municipal clients
  • Participate in marketing the firm's services through networking, public presentations, preparation of proposals, and participation in selection interviews


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer registration
  • Demonstrated experience independently working as a member of a design team in the water infrastructure space
  • Demonstrated experience successfully communicating with municipalities, state regulators and other stakeholders throughout the design process
