The PositionRoanoke College invites applications for a full-time staff position in Technical Direction and Production Design. The position will be responsible for creating and implementing set, lighting, props, projection, and sound designs (as needed) as well as the supervision of student workers in those areas. Primary tasks within the theatre include construction of sets, sourcing and creating soundscapes, and hanging and focusing lighting. The TD will also teach two courses in technical design (Stagecraft and either Scenic Design or Lighting Design) and collaborate with undergraduate students on 3-4 productions each year. The technical director also supports events held in the theater outside of theatre production such as invited guest speakers, campus events, and admissions presentations. Key Responsibilities:
