The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Wealth Management team in Portland, Oregon as a Wealth Planning Practice Lead.

How you will make an impact at TPG

The primary role of the Wealth Planning Practice Lead is to lead client strategy and financial planning while leading the Wealth Planning team. This individual will foster client relationships, provide tailored advice, and drive business growth, ultimately contributing to the organization's overall success.

What a typical day in this role looks like:

  • Develop and implement client financial strategies, leading advisory teams to meet client goals
  • Provide personalized financial advice as the primary client advisor, optimizing relationships and identifying opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver financial plans and updates using tools like eMoney, collaborating with advisors on recommendations
  • Lead, mentor, and train Wealth Planning team members, fostering skill development and team growth
  • Build and maintain a high-net-worth client portfolio through prospecting, cross-selling, and retention efforts
  • Stay informed on advanced planning topics and competitor offerings to enhance client solutions and maintain a competitive edge


Key details

Location: Portland, OR; in-office with hybrid remote opportunities

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $150,000-175,000 annually (DOE)

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

Travel: Minimal

What you'll bring to the table

  • At minimum, an undergraduate degree in a business-related field
  • 10+ years of demonstrated planning and business development experience working with high-net-worth clients, with proven results using the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products and relevant regulations.
  • Strong client advisory skills and demonstrated leadership experience
  • Financial planning skillset and familiarity with eMoney as planning tool.


What will make you really stand out

  • Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) background preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external needs
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • A high level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong self-sufficiency and able to work independently, as well as in team settings
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish language desired (conversational, reading, and writing)
