Job Purpose
Serves as a Programmer/Analyst II for College enterprise administrative and auxiliary systems, providing analysis, programming, implementation, and support for vendor applications, custom enhancements, and integrations. Responsibilities include researching and implementing new technologies and coordinating technical and functional needs with functional departments, Business Analysts, vendors, and programming team members.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma with experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of development within an Ellucian ERP environment and related tools. Knowledge and applied use of programming languages and output formatting standards such as: PL/ SQL, SQL, JavaScript, PHP, JSON/ XML, Python, Bash/Shell Scripting. Knowledge of development against vendor provided APIs preferred. Experience developing integrations against relational databases preferred. Analysis and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Some weekend and evening activities may be required.

2. USER SUPPORT: Advises functional users, department liaisons, and Business Consultants on applications, implementations, and integrations. Works with stakeholders to identify needs, evaluate vendor solutions, and develop or adapt integrations. Recommends technical processes to meet user requirements effectively.

3. SECURITY: Adheres to security methodologies in systems and development (e.g., authentication, authorization, audit trails). Collaborates with functional users, Business Consultants, IT Security, Infrastructure, Network Engineering, and auditors to ensure data protection and integrity.
