We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Manager I, Project/Program Management supporting the Clinical Process and Shared Capabilities Team, in Fort Worth, TX or Johns Creek, GA, a typical day will include:

Major Accountabilities:

  • Alcon Research Clinic Scheduling and Workload Balancing:

    • Assess and allocate studies effectively to manage workload across clinics.

    • Negotiate clinic schedule with internal stakeholders and contracted clinic management.

    • Ensure balanced distribution of studies.

    • Identify and resolve any resource conflicts or bottlenecks with agility.

  • Process Standardization:

    • Continuously review and improve Alcon research clinic processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Develop and implement standardized processes and/or documentation to facilitate agility with quality.

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    • Facilitate audit readiness and response.

  • Team Coordination:

    • Collaborate with Alcon Clinical stakeholders and contract staff to align goals and objectives.

    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Alcon Clinical stakeholders and contracted clinic staff.

    • Provide leadership, guidance, training, and support to clinic teams.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Lead budget and resource coordination for Alcon Research Clinics including POs, accruals, etc.

    • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, progress, and performance.

    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.

    • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of clinical research activities.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.

    • Manage relationships with sponsors, vendors, and other external partners.

    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders.

  • Facilities and Equipment Management

    • Establish and maintain required emergency and business continuity plans

    • Maintains security access to facility for Alcon and contract staff

    • Manages equipment contracts, install and servicing

  • Vendor Management:

    • Work with Alcon Clinical franchises and Alcon Clinical Operations to create and maintain as strategic supplier plan.

    • Facilitate new vendor qualifications and onboarding in conjunction with cross functional stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Work hours: 40 hours

  • Travel:25%

  • Relocation: No

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong understanding of clinical research processes and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • LSS Green Belt
