As an Advanced Maintenance Mechanic at our winery, you will provide advanced maintenance and repair support for our production operations. This role is integral to ensuring our operations run smoothly while adhering to all safety procedures and supporting quality and GMP standards. We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to our continuous improvement initiatives.

As an Advanced Maintenance Mechanic, you will lead machinery troubleshooting efforts, document repairs, and identify and report repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor. You will replace or repair defective parts, reassemble equipment, and test for conformance to specifications. Your expertise will be essential in disassembling malfunctioning equipment, examining and testing mechanisms, inspecting, testing, and calibrating instruments, and interpreting technical documents. You will also perform electrical installations, operate machining tools and drill presses, and conduct welding operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory safety and quality requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Set rate listed as $32.84- $44.38/ hour.
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

What You Will Need

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 3 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial mechanical or automotive environment.
  • Required to work assigned shift pattern, 12-hour shifts with rotating day off every week. Required to swap between day pattern and night pattern as crews rotate.
  • Required to conduct work at heights.
  • Required to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work in a tight and confined space.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel at a basic level.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 5 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Industrial trade experience to include Refrigeration and HVAC.
  • Project management experience.
  • Basic understanding of PLC's.
  • Skilled in forklift and aerial lift operation.
  • Experience working in a food and beverage manufacturing facility.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing large production equipment.
  • Operates well in a team setting.
  • Experience writing reports and procedures manuals.
  • Skilled in reading electrical schematics; possess PLC skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
