Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Business Operations Technical Advisor in support of our Space Communications Services (SCS) Operating Unit within the Civil Space Business Unit. The SCS portfolio is comprised of multiple Prime programs delivering mission and operations success, space systems communications development, system architecture, system engineering, and facilities services to enable scientific discovery and space exploration by providing space communications and navigation solutions.

This position will allow for 100% remote, with occasional travel to Peraton and customer sites as needed. However, a person who is within a commutable distance to the site and can work a hybrid schedule will be preferred.

This position will be responsible for the following:

    Providing subject matter expertise to ensure that the latest business practices and processes are implemented into key programs.
  • Collaborating and leveraging corporate functional capabilities to drive solutions.
  • Support TO forecast and support in the development of financial reports
  • Oversee financial and schedule discussions to ensure tasks are staffed appropriately.
  • Assist in the development and review resource-loaded project schedule
  • Provide oversight of TOs to ensure exceptional delivery of the service
  • Position may require up to 10% travel to other NASA facilities and other locations


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 14 years of direclty related experience with MS/MA degree or higher.
  • 14+ years of experience performing business operations, program/project management, budget planning and analysis
  • Knowledge of NASA and/or NOAA.
  • Experience in program and project management expertise, specifically for program control in managing cost and schedule performances of highly complex government programs
  • This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy while understanding broader technical issues.
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently as a proactive self-starter.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
  • Excellent organizational skills such as prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
