Job Summary

The End User Product Experience, Manager will be responsible for gathering and communicating valuable insights from professional end-users during the product testing process to further guide the product development process. The role will work closely with product management, R&D, field sales, retailers and market research to coordinate real world field application testing and evaluations prior to product launch. The role will be also be responsible for developing the test protocol, and surveys to meet the objectives of the project in a timely and efficient manner. This includes but is no limited to recruitment and facilitation.

In addition, this role is also responsible for gathering key information regarding customer applications and needs, how they think and evaluate our products, competition and new technologies.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

    Collaborate with Product Managers and R&D to develop a robust formula evaluation process with defined product testing protocols
  • Serve as the key contact for recruiting and communicating with professional end-users during the product testing process
  • Collaborate with Sales and other agencies to identify target customers based on pre-defined criteria established by Product Management and Customer Segments
  • Engage professional end-users to explain testing objectives, timing, location etc. and confirm participation
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, R&D, and Market Research to develop testing questionnaire
  • Send reminders leading up to the test date, and help facilitate the day of testing
  • Manage testing calendar to ensure efficiencies
  • Ensure participant payment, and testing data is captured
  • Manage and develop the Field Sales Engagement strategy
  • Continually assess the overall business landscape and gather customer insights to affectively engage the organization on critical business trends


Qualifications

Required Knowledge & Desired Skills

  • 10+ years progressive marketing/sales experience in the coatings industry
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA Preferred
  • High level of technical and paint application knowledge
  • Commitment to a customer-first approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting both within the marketing function, within the company, external agencies and our customers
  • Thrives in a team oriented environment, with a collaborative approach
  • Time management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with outstanding execution skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to bring new ideas and approaches while keeping an eye on marketplace trends and product improvement
  • Ability to regularly travel to our Montvale, New Jersey along with traveling to other testing sites around North America.
  • Travel is approximately 30%.
