Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development best practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Location: Jersey City, NJ.

*Candidate is required to be in the office 3 days a week*

Roles/ Responsibilities

* Proficient in Full stack Java, Java Design Patterns, ANSI SQL, MySQL, JavaScript, AWS

* Spring boot, Kafka, Microservices, AWS Cloud, React JS, REST Web Services,

* Design and transform the solution architecture into application capabilities.

* Good to have exposure to Banking Intelligence but not mandatory.

* Participate in client meetings to understand and prioritize the business requirements. Focus on the business domain using domain driven design.

* Create high-level design documents like application horizons, use-cases, activity diagrams, data-maps, schema designs, database designs etc.

* Leading the project technicalities with Microservices Architecture on Cloud and on premises.

* Bringing quality gates, including secure coding, code coverage, code format templates etc.

* Lay the code branching, code merging and code commit policies

* Mentoring and guiding the peers to achieve the deliverables.

* Orchestrating the deliverable deployments, release notes.

* Root cause analysis with the help of application monitoring and log analysis and addressing the critical production issues postproduction.

Other Compensations:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
