About the Role As a B2C Growth Generalist on our Growth team within the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization, you will be instrumental in driving ChatGPT's user acquisition, engagement, and retention across multiple channels. Partnering closely with comms/design, marketing, product, engineering, and data science, you will develop and execute data-driven strategies to optimize user journeys, boost organic reach, and increase overall revenue. By blending experimentation, performance marketing, and user-centric design, you'll help shape and scale delightful experiences that fuel ChatGPT's continued growth on a global stage. This role is based in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will:
Develop and Execute Growth Roadmaps: Create, maintain, and execute a robust experimentation roadmap aimed at improving user acquisition, retention, and monetization for ChatGPT's consumer-related products. Lead Data-Driven Initiatives: Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to identify friction points, user flow enhancements, and feature opportunities. Prioritize projects that drive key B2C metrics such as new user signups, subscriptions, and in-app purchases. Run A/B and Multivariate Tests: Collaborate with data science and engineering to design, implement, and analyze experiments. Leverage findings to refine growth strategies and iterate on product features. Leverage Growth Marketing Tactics: Partner with marketing and communications teams to plan, execute, and optimize campaigns that boost user awareness, drive app downloads, and increase engagement. Track and Report Performance: Monitor performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, active users, user engagement, revenue) and regularly share insights, test results, and recommendations with cross-functional teams. Stay on the Cutting Edge: Keep a close eye on market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging growth technologies to ensure ChatGPT's user experience remains innovative and user-centric. Champion a Culture of Experimentation: Foster an agile, test-and-learn mindset throughout the organization, encouraging teams to explore new ideas and quickly iterate on results.

B2C Growth Experience: You have a proven track record of scaling consumer-facing products, driving user acquisition, engagement, and revenue across multiple channels (web, mobile, email, social, etc.). You excel at prioritizing growth initiatives that deliver measurable results. Holistic Growth Tactics: You're proficient in a wide range of in-product and out-of-product strategies and you know how to mix and match these tactics for maximum impact. SEO Expertise: You understand the critical role organic discovery plays in B2C growth. You leverage advanced SEO strategies (keyword research, technical optimizations, content improvements) to boost visibility in search engines and drive meaningful traffic. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Savvy: You use data-driven insights to refine user flows, reduce friction, and increase conversions. You're experienced in designing and analyzing experiments that move the needle on signups, subscriptions, and in-app purchases. Analytics & Testing Mastery: From Google Analytics to Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, or Amplitude, you're comfortable digging into the data. You leverage A/B or multivariate testing platforms (e.g., Statsig, Optimizely, Adobe Target) to validate hypotheses and refine growth strategies. Data-Driven Mindset: Skilled in SQL or similar, you translate complex data sets into actionable tactics that align with key business objectives. You're systematic in how you measure, iterate, and scale winning experiments. Excellent Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration: You can distill complex findings into clear, compelling recommendations for diverse stakeholders, from product and engineering to marketing and design, ensuring everyone rallies around growth objectives.
