Director of Supply Planning

This position requires to be working in office, 3 days per week from our Bala Cynwyd, PA office.

Position Summary

Reporting to the V.P. of Supply Chain. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Supply Planning Director to lead and manage our supply planning process. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless flow of goods, services, and information across the entire supply chain. The Supply Planning Director handles developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain processes, improve supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Primary Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for direct supervision of North American based team of Supply Managers and store replenishment specialist
• Manage inventory levels and ensure that sufficient stock is available to meet customer demand.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee direct material purchasing and inventory management processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply planning activities with business goals.
• Lead monthly supply planning meetings to ensure continuity of supply, purchasing plan accuracy and inventory strategies are aligned.
• Working with the Demanding Planning team to identify and resolve changes that could affect customer service.
• Implement CPFR with the strategic supplier base.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelors/University degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management or related Business degree required. MBA Preferred
• 10 years of experience in Supply Planning/Procurement with a focus on high/mix med volume product lines
• 8+ years People Leader experience
• High proficiency in using Business Intelligence software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated leadership experience across multiple functional disciplines.
• Proven track record of inventory optimization
• Detail oriented, initiative-taker, working independently and comfortable taking the leadership roles to drive business results
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner internally and externally to resolve issues.
• Must be willing to role-up sleeves.
