POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Digital Platforms and Consumer Application Technology leads the development, strategy and optimization of the organization's online properties to enhance the digital journey connecting consumers, patients, candidates and the communities we serve. The Director will lead a team tasked with consumer-focused web/online digital development, application, integrations, support, and management. This position is also supported by a cross-functional team of CX professionals, UX Design, consumer engagement, brand strategists, graphics, videographers, writers, and copy editors who contribute to the development of Ardent's online presence.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction for the development and management of consumer- focused digital and web properties.
  • Understand the online behavior and preferences of key audiences to deliver an engaging, interactive, on-brand digital experience
  • Develop consumer focused application support processes and platforms that are aimed at helping patients and consumers utilize digital and consumer applications.
  • Partner across the organization and work closely with the Ardent shared services team to ensure consumer digital touchpoints and websites meet measurable goals and objectives.
  • Lead the vision and direction of providing a meaningful online experience for consumers, patients, employees, candidates, partners, media and investors.
  • Build strong relationships with IT to facilitate the integration of tools, data, and software products in support of the digital journey with an emphasis on design best practices and security standards.
  • Create strategic, objective-driven roadmaps that positively influence key metrics (i.e., search engine optimization (SEO), lead generation, traffic, etc) supported by Ardent's data analysis and industry benchmarking.
  • Manage budgets and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, marketing or a similar field, or 5+ years of equivalent working experience leading a digital or web development teams.
  • 5+ years in healthcare leading digital development and/or application support teams.
  • Experience with WordPress, Drupal, HTML/CSS, PHP, front-end and back-end architecture, responsive design, JavaScript, testing and debugging sites, search engine optimization, project management systems and extensive experience integration third-party APIs.
  • Experience with oversight of multiple websites with unique brands, working with CCaaS, call-center, and other consumer touchpoint teams, and digital experiences targeting a variety of key audiences, preferred.
