The Role:
As the Contractor Coordinator you will join our Operations team at our Ogden, UT facility and support the administration and management of the Contractor Safety Program within the Ogden site. The Contractor Coordinator shall maintain regular and routine communications with the contractor, ETS employees, Non ETS employees, and the general public (as appropriate) to ensure sufficient dialogue regarding project work issues, rules, policies and practices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a list of approved contractor coordinators; Evaluating contractor qualifications.
  • Ensuring contractor coordinators are trained, including refresher training.
  • Assigning a contractor coordinator to projects.
  • Overseeing the contractor inspection process.
  • Maintaining contractor audit and serious violation data.
  • Conduct / attend pre-job meetings.
  • Contractor EH&S Orientation and Training; Review contractor(s) training; Ensure all contractor personnel receive site EH&S orientation and jobs are performed safely.
  • Review job hazards and control measures (JSA).
  • Communicate known or anticipated hazards to contractor(s).
  • Communicate procedural requirements and site-specific requirements to the contractor.
  • Conduct inspections/audits.
  • Establish minimum requirements for the management of Contractors.
  • Ensure Contractors understand the EHS policies and procedures of the respective ETS facility, or project, where work is performed.
  • Auditing the program, the contractor and construction site and work practices to ensure full compliance with this program.
  • Shall develop a method to evaluate contractor qualifications based on anticipated EH&S risks and review of the completed Contractor Pre-Qualification Package.
  • Verify the contractor's EH&S competency for the specified scope of work.
  • Conduct project review meetings.
  • Develop risk assessment requirements for level III work; Ensure that all Level II and III Contractors receive a Contractor Post-Job Evaluation.
  • Establish an audit program to evaluate level II and III contractor activities during and/or upon completion of work activities.
  • Design an inspection process, using the Contractor EHS Inspection Checklist.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EH&S, working in a manufacturing site
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; or equivalent years of professional experience
  • OSHA 30 certifications a plus.
  • Knowledgeable of the ETS EH&S requirements, including the applicable procedure(s).
  • Knowledgeable about manufacturing processes within their area of responsibility including hazards.
  • Knowledgeable on occupational safety standards, site safety rule/regulations, record-keeping guidelines and legal issues.
  • Working knowledge of -Respiratory protection, Hearing protection, SDS (or international equivalent), PPE requirements, Industrial hygiene monitoring, Environmental issues including site air, water, waste requirements, Hazardous energy controls including LOTO, NFPA 70E, Cardinal Rule Program requirements, and Incident/ accident reporting.
  • Attend 30-hour OSHA-based construction safety course (U.S. only) or equivalent construction safety course (international sites).
