The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for leading the creation and automation of our bare metal infrastructure, private cloud platforms, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) tools. This role focuses on designing and building platforms that enable seamless delivery of infrastructure services, as well as automating workflows and tools around these services. You will play a critical role in shaping the architecture, ensuring scalability, and building tools to streamline platform operations.

Responsibilities

* Design, build, and deploy infrastructure platforms across bare metal and private cloud environments.

* Develop tools and automation frameworks to enable the provisioning, management, and scaling of services.

* Create and optimize platforms for Managed Services Provider (MSP) offerings, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

* Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate deployments and standardize infrastructure configurations.

* Automate end-to-end workflows for platform operations using scripting (Python, Go, Bash) and orchestration tools.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate platform capabilities with existing services and tooling.

* Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless infrastructure updates and service rollouts.

* Monitor platform health and performance while building observability tools for proactive issue resolution.

* Drive containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and other modern technologies.

* Continuously evaluate and improve platform tools and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

* Mentor team members, foster a culture of automation, and champion platform innovation.

Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles.

* Strong expertise in designing and managing bare metal infrastructure and private cloud platforms.

* Hands-on experience building tools and automation frameworks around infrastructure platforms.

* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.

* Solid coding/scripting experience in Python, Go, or Bash for automation.

* Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).

* Proven ability to design, implement, and automate CI/CD pipelines.

* Strong knowledge of MSP platforms, service delivery tools, and workflow automation.

* Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging tools for platform health and performance.

* Understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts in private cloud environments.
