Core Tool Architect - HEV

The Core Tool Architect is responsible for:



  • Developing, integrating and maintaining Matlab/Simulink based system level modelling framework for BEVs, HEVs, PHEVs and Conventional vehicles.
  • Developing system level and component level models of all components of the drivetrain, including engine, electric machine, battery, etc. and integrate it in a macro-level framework to form a full powertrain model.
  • Collaborating with Functional Sciences teams to obtain high fidelity models and integrate them in the modeling framework.
  • Providing support to the tool users regarding model related issues.
  • Leading the continuous improvement effort to make the framework and processes more efficient through simplification, use of AI and high-performance computing resources

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or a closely related engineering degree from an ABET accredited university
  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills, and demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality processes of electrical components
  • Knowledge Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering degree from an ABET accredited University
  • Components releasing experience
  • Experienced in validating and releasing of Electric Components for Automotive applications
  • Knowledge in electrified powertrain propulsion systems
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green / Black-Belt
  • Knowledgeable in use of TeamCenter with experience in NX in a production release environment
