Operating successfully in Green River, Wyoming, Genesis Alkali is the world's largest natural soda ash mine and production site, offering a secure, reliable, and diverse range of high-quality product choices. Position Title: Project Manager - Mechanical (Internal Title: Project Manager) Location: Green River, WY Key Responsibilities: * Management and coordination of project development and execution * Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule * Project team management and development of team members (i.e. maintenance, operations, safety) * Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution * Manage and forecast project costs. * Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards and equipment standards. * Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO, environmental agencies, applicable codes, and regulatory agencies * Ensure projects comply with all applicable standards. * Management of departmental record keeping and databases Activities: * Management and coordination of project development and execution including development of AFE's and evaluation of project's economics. * Oversee management of change (MOC) process. * Assist in performing root cause analysis's (RCA's). * Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule. * Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution. * Manage and forecast project costs. * Participate in development and administration of capital plans. * Project management, including cost accountability. * Collaboration amongst various departments across the site, including operations, maintenance, and support groups. * Prepare design, drawings & specification documents. * Prepare bid/request documents, addendums & change orders for procurement phase. * Direct interface with a variety of disciplined engineers. * Coordinate and ensure projects comply with regulatory and code requirements. * Project closure and accounting interface. * Support project systems. * Support ISO efforts. * Other duties as assigned. Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements * B.S. Degree in Engineering, with five or more years of Mechanical experience, OR a B.S in Mechanical Engineering * 4 + years of experience in Project Management strongly preferred. * Engineer in training certificate or professional engineering license preferred.
