Purchasing Intern

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data in support of strategic sourcing initiatives and indirect material category management
• Support key supply chain and logistics initiatives
• Enter purchase orders across Koppers businesses
• Support equipment leasing function
• Support Engineering in budget quotes on capital projects
• Support Engineering on purchase orders
• Problem solve and support daily invoice transactions
• Collaborate with purchasing team on national accounts
• Aid purchasing team with document storage and data entry
• Support Responsible Care and product safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field
• International business concentration preferred
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Ability to research various sources for goods and services
• Ability to compare and organize information
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and transition between tasks often
• Approximately 10% travel
