SALES CLERK LFS SEASONAL

LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and twoseasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Job Summary:Retail sales clerk needed for a SEASONAL position in Naknek, Alaska. Room, board, and flight to and from Naknek provided. The job requires you to work 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, at our multi-use facility. Alaska overtime rules apply. Retail store/boatyard/bunkhouse facility) Job runs from (April-August) You will represent our business and sell merchandise to customers by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions:

1. Must have customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone.
2. Previous experience with a point of sale program or cash register.
3. Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
4. Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
5. Accepts payment and makes change.
6. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
7. Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.
8. Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
9. Standing up to 8hours at a time.
10. Ensure excellent retail experience for customer.
11. Must have the maturity and social skills to live and work as part of a team in a community living situation.

This is a Seasonal non benefited position. (April-August)

You will be living and working at the LFS Naknek Marine Center.

Single rooms, shared bathroom, cook on site.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Three to six months sales clerk, customer service or cashier experience.

Preferred education and experience:

• High School degree.
• 1+ years for customer service or POS experience.
• Previous experience working at remote bunk house or fish camp style facility.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear, to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 20pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40pounds. Occasionally exposed to the outdoor elements. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
