The Waymo ML Infrastructure team works with Research and Production teams to develop ML models in Perception and Planning that are core to our autonomous driving software. We collaborate with our partners by offering the best solutions for the entire model development lifecycle. These solutions are developed in close collaboration with teams at Google. They are geared towards both scaling models and solving problems unique to ML for autonomous driving. You will: Report into our Head of ML Inference Focus on developing large-scale and efficient inference solutions for Waymo You have: B.S. in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent real-world experience 3+ years of experience with machine learning fundamentals and experience with popular ML frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. Experienced in software development projects using C++ or Python and deploying on cloud platforms, for example AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with distributed systems and multi-threaded and stream-based programming models. We prefer: MS in Computer Science, Math or related field. Practical familiarity using ML accelerator profiling tools to uncover performance bottlenecks. 3+ years of experience building scalable inference platforms for real-time and batch processing. Familiarity with ML distillation concepts and experience with distillation frameworks. #LI-Hybrid The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
