This Student Life Assistant is a Part Time/Temporary position reporting to the Interim Director of Student life. The Student Life Assistant will assist with coordinating and support programs, services, and student life events planned by the director of the department. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy. This Position will be until June 30th 2025.
Essential Duties The Temporary Student Life Assistant will report to the Interim Director of Student Life. The responsibilities of the position are as stated below
Manage the daily functions of the college's student activities office and student life programs through the use of student organizations, faculty advisors, outside presenters and programs. Coordinate activities and schedule events after appropriate planning and development. Determine appropriate campus facilities for programs and reserve rooms and facilities for use; promote events through campus publicity and social media. Evaluate all student activity events and confers frequently with the supervisor on student activity matters. Responsible for help manage the budget and requisitioning all payments related to these activities. Prepare and distribute student identification cards and parking passes, Schedule work-study staffing for Student Information Center. Provide job duties and expectations for work-studies to maintain operations of the Student Information Center. Update the Student Handbook for policy/content changes, coordinate publication and distribute to students, faculty, and administrative offices as required. Work on various campus committees and other special assignments as assigned by the administration and/or the supervisor.
