Junior Architectural Designer

As Gannett Fleming TranSytems continues to expand, we are seeking a resourceful Junior Architectural Designer to join our growing New York City, NY office.

Here at Gannett Fleming TranSystems, you'll collaborate with a talented team of architects and engineers to create integrated designs for national and state government projects aimed at improving the public sector. This role requires a motivated designer with a positive attitude, ready to support architectural teams and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, intellectually engaging environment.

What You Will Do:

• Develop concept designs and prepare architectural working drawings and related documents.
• Lead or assist in preparing project specifications and coordinating construction administration tasks.
• Review shop drawings, respond to requests for information, and conduct construction meetings.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and produce conceptual renderings for presentations.
• Continuously expand skills and grow professionally.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture required.
• 0-2 years of experience in an architectural office, with a focus on construction documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D modeling software (Sketch-Up Pro) and rendering software (Lumion 3D, Enscape).
• Knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related standards.
• Experience with transit, transportation, or government building types.
