Description ACARA Solutions and our client in McLeansville, NC have a contract-to-direct hire position available Sr. Software Engineer Here's what you'd do: Experience as a Test Engineer, working with hardware in a lab setting to test software integration, particularly in Linux. As a Software Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the development and maintenance of command and control and data processing systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, and implementing programs supporting our national security. The position provides the opportunity for close collaboration with systems, mechanical, and electrical teams. High level skills/experiences: Enterprise Java experience (Maven, Spring/SpringBoot, etc.) Web Services/API backend experience (Server-side REST, etc.) Enterprise software documentation experience (ICD/IDD, etc.) Software Test Engineering experience (Labs, unit, integration, automation, etc.) Developing applications in Java in both Linux and Windows environments Nice-to-haves that sets you apart: Modern Enterprise DevSecOps (Jira, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube, etc.) Model-based Software Engineering (MagicDraw, Teamwork Cloud, code-generation, etc.) Containerized software deployments of microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.) Inter-process message brokerage experience (RabbitMQ, etc.) Fiber optic network experience (ATM/Sonet, etc.) Cybersecurity implementation (Edge Security, OAuth2, API Tokens, etc.) Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics Minimum 5 years of Enterprise Java experience (Maven, Spring/SpringBoot) Minimum 5 years of Web Services/API backend experience (Server-side REST) Minimum 5 years of Enterprise software documentation experience (ICD/IDD) Minimum 5 years of Software Test Engineering experience (Labs, unit, integration, automation) Minimum 5 years of experience in Developing applications in Java in both Linux and Windows environments Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Master's Degree Agile experience Modern Enterprise DevSecOps (Jira, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube) Model-based Software Engineering (MagicDraw, Teamwork Cloud, code-generation) Containerized software deployments of microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman.) Inter-process message brokerage experience (RabbitMQ.) Fibre optic network experience (ATM/Sonet) Cybersecurity implementation (Edge Security, OAuth2, API Tokens.)
