Your Role

At Atlas Copco, we believe in the power of passionate individuals to drive innovation and excellence. We are on the lookout for a Machinist/Balance Technician who shares our dedication to precision and quality. If you have hands-on mechanical skills, experience with balancing equipment, and a knack for understanding machining drawings, we want you on our team.

As part of the Service Center team, you will report to the Repair Facility Supervisor and work closely with the Repair Technicians. This is an on-site position located in Houston, TX.

As a Machinist/Balance Technician:



  • You will operate lathes, grinders, mills, and other machines to repair rotating component.
  • You will execute repairs and upgrades of turbo machinery components.
  • You will machine parts to drawing dimensions and maintain tight tolerances with precision machinery.
  • You will set up and assist others with machine setups.
  • You will operate low and high-speed balance machines.
  • You will prepare and file balance reports.

  • At least 3 years of experience operating precision balancing equipment with knowledge in assembly of close-tolerance turbo machinery,
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machining drawings.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of measuring instruments.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with the Repair Shop Supervisor.
  • Willingness to work overtime or 2nd shifts as required.
