About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Concierge to join our dedicated Client Services team. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients entering the Veterinary Health Center. They will direct clients to their appropriate department, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. The person in this role will display exceptional customer service skills to make client visits as comfortable and convenient as possible. Working hours will be Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Worksite Option

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Two years' experience in customer service and veterinary knowledge.
  • Great customer service skills, including the ability to communicate professionally under stress.
  • Experience with veterinary hospital management program software, such as Instinct, will be an asset for this position.
  • Comfortable around all types of animals.
  • Ability to perform basic administrative/secretarial/reception duties.
  • Responsive to a wide variety of clients' needs to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience.
  • Ability to apply skills of a service-oriented nature position to the public, faculty and students in order to promote harmonious working relationships and excellent veterinary medical care for patients.
