Change & Release Management Analyst Overview

Role and Responsibilities

* Facilitate and manage the Change Advisory Board (CAB) calendar, ensuring timely review and approval of changes.

* Maintain and oversee the schedule of changes, ensuring proper sequencing, conflict resolution, and adherence to policies.

* Coordinate and assess the readiness of changes, reviewing release content, testing artifacts, and proof of successful testing.

* Ensure all changes meet organizational requirements for quality, risk, and impact before implementation.

* Review upcoming releases with Service and Product Owners to ensure alignment to process requirements.

* Engage with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, operations, and service owners, to ensure effective communication and alignment.

* Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, risks, and dependencies.

* Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of change and release management processes, ensuring alignment with service management best practices.

* Monitor adherence to policies and standards, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

* Keep track and report on the progress of initiatives and project deliveries that require IT resource availability.

* Generate and distribute regular reports on change and release performance, highlighting trends, successes, and areas for improvement

Requirements

Qualifications

* 3+ years of experience in a change/release management or similar IT service management role.

* Associates Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.

* Experience with Change Management, Release Management, and other IT Service Management processes.

* Strong understanding of project coordination principles, including dependency tracking and risk management.

* Strong analytical skills to evaluate change impacts and make data-driven decisions.

* Experience working within an ITIL framework preferred.

* Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies preferred.

* Experience with Service Management and Work Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Zendesk, or similar).

* Experience with the Microsoft productivity tools (Office, Teams, Outlook)

* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks proactively.

* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $79,700 - $103,600 USD annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The current bonus target for the position is 5% of the base salary with a stretch to twice the target, modified for corporate and individual performance.
