This role is responsible for assisting our ready mix team with daily scheduling, paperwork, and truck dispatching.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Collection and processing daily point of sale paperwork including reports, ticket verification, edits, and cash handling.
  • Verify payments received, collect outstanding, and maintain cash log.
  • Assist ready mix supervisor with employee vacation and call out tracking.
  • Answers phone to take/alter/confirm orders and complete all required information.
  • Keeps supervisor and drivers informed of tasks and situations so the schedule can be updated.
  • Assigns appropriate equipment and personnel for completion of duties and deliveries as needed.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
  • Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
  • Monitor and communicate with field, managers and supervisors of any upcoming challenges or changes in deliveries/scheduling.
  • Ensure that all tasks assigned to you are organized, performed safely, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:




  • Must have experience in administrative support, with strong data entry skills, and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Very strong computer skills.
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 3+ years of experience in customer service, administrative support, dispatch, or a related area.
  • Successful candidate will have familiarity with office equipment.
  • Communication skills and positive interactions with a variety of customers, vendors, and employees required.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work an irregular schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Cash handling experience.
  • Vehicle dispatching.
  • Operation of backhoe, forklift, etc.
  • Familiarity with Big Island geography, driving directions, and road system.
  • Knowledge about concrete and aggregates.
