The Calibration Engineer is responsible for developing the optimal engine calibration to meet driveability metrics along with ensuring optimal emissions and fuel economy. The engineer is responsible for the calibration maturity and development of sub-features resulting in an overall optimal propulsion system. This spans the entirety of the lifecycle of development through conceptual phase, strategy development, calibration execution to subsystem and vehicle level validation including robustness evaluations. The responsibilities will be carried out across all different types of propulsion system concepts and will include varying levels of electrification. The work will coincide with a team of calibration engineers and functions to deliver system level functional objectives mainly related to emissions compliance.
The engineer will plan and coordinate daily activities of propulsion dynos and vehicle related testing which may include collaboration with technicians and laboratory support engineers. In addition, test plans and timelines will be developed and executed with reports generated to communicate status of the program to larger development and management teams. Basic Requirements:
