Our Garden Segment is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst in Atlanta, GA. This position's primary focus is financial and analytical support of the Grass and Controls Business Unit Finance Directors but will also collaborate closely with other functional leaders. This position will be exposed to end to end business unit operations and will need to build out a strong understanding of these operations to be a successful finance partner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Grass and Controls Finance Directors in the development of forecasts, periodic financial reviews and annual budgets through financial analysis and data manipulation
  • Manage recurring analysis processes such as sales/margin reporting, cost center reviews with functional leads and oversight of marketing promotional spend process
  • Support functional leaders of Marketing, S&OP, Operations, Sales and R&D in financial analysis, reporting and ad hoc project workstreams
  • Support accounting group during the period-end close process through analysis, follow-up and ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Develop and maintain pricing and profitability models for the businesses
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives
  • Foster strong working relationships with peers and management in order to develop efficient and effective cross-functional relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding and experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting and modeling
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to focus on detail without losing sight of the larger business perspective
  • Strong written, interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level user of Microsoft Excel (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, String Manipulation)
  • Ability to work independently; deal with ambiguity; flexibility and able to adapt to change
  • Proven track record of business partnering through analysis for decision support
  • Team player, able to work cross functionally and with all levels in the organization
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including a willingness to perform whatever tasks are required to complete a project
  • Commitment to process improvements and the ability to think "out of the box"
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic travel)
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, with 2-4+ years of experience in similar environment with increased responsibility
  • Experience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment is preferred
  • VBA, SQL, Python or R experience a plus
  • Hyperion, Tableau, SAP experience a plus
  • Manufacturing or Consumer Products experience is a plus
