The IT Privacy Analyst plays a key role in supporting the MGMRI Privacy Office by working closely with multiple departments to drive and sustain privacy initiatives across the organization. This position also entails managing compliance reporting, as well as assisting in the development and maintenance of auditing and monitoring processes for the Privacy Office. All responsibilities must be executed in full alignment with departmental policies, MGM Resorts International procedures, and legal requirements. The individual in this role is expected to consistently uphold and safeguard the goals and interests of the department, division, and all MGM Resorts International properties, both individually and collectively.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Update privacy portals, policies, and tools to ensure compliance with CCPA. Develop and deliver privacy training for MGM staff. Promote Privacy by Design across the organization. Approve data transfers, initiate PIAs, and flag risks. Communicate privacy law changes to relevant teams (e.g., marketing, security). Ensure policies and procedures are updated with new laws and regulations. Serve as the internal privacy compliance expert. Address policy questions and guide the resolution of privacy compliance issues. Respond to audits, compliance inquiries, and stakeholder requests. Maintain privacy compliance documentation. Collaborate with third-party partners to ensure privacy law compliance (e.g., OpenTable). Attend privacy training sessions, conferences, and webinars to stay updated as the Privacy SME. Monitor privacy trends and evolving laws that may impact the organization.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 1+ years of relevant experience. Strong technical aptitude with effective communication skills for collaborating with tech professionals. Ability to understand information flow and support Privacy compliance integrity. Preferred knowledge of US and international privacy laws and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. Effective decision-making with the ability to apply experience to new situations. Passionate about problem-solving and finding solutions. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all business contacts. Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
