Join the dynamic team at Georgia-Pacific Building Products! We are seeking a talented Trading Optimization Analyst to support our Structural Panels division. In this role, you will work closely with our sales teams, analyzing and identifying market changes, providing data-driven recommendations, and nurturing continuous learning and collaboration within the trading team. This role creates value by identifying margin enhancement opportunities, supporting customer growth strategies, and leveraging economic thinking. Through strategic insights and effective collaboration, you'll drive informed trading decisions that contribute to our organization's success.

Location: This is an [1] onsite role at our GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. We offer a hybrid work schedule of remote work combined with three days in the office each week. We are seeking local applicants, or candidates that are willing to relocate to the area.

What You Will Do

* Develop strategically aligned, data-driven insights to support business needs; Continuously seek data points that uncover arbitrage opportunities or significant market changes affecting sales strategy.
* Recommend margin enhancement opportunities through product tradeoffs and mix optimization; partnering with S&OP teams to understand production tradeoffs to inform recommendations to traders
* Develop daily/real-time KPIs and dashboards to track progress and drive collaboration across traders
* Create and implement profitable customer growth strategies by leveraging actionable insights and establishing measurable growth targets that align with business objectives
* Enhance economic thinking across trading team by fostering a deeper understanding of economic principles such as opportunity cost, marginal analysis and risk assessment with the trading teams.
* Act as a challenge partner, providing feedback and alternative perspectives to enhance decision-making and strategy development
* Promote and reinforce the Principle-Based Management culture by applying the company's values.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* 2-5 years experience in Finance, Business Analysis, Sales, or related role.
* Experienced in data analysis, trend identification, and process optimization. Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges efficiently.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
* Demonstrated expertise to analyze complex problems, and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and meaningful results.
* Skilled in delivering presentations, leading meetings, and communicating complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.

What Will Put You Ahead

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, Tableau, Power BI, and SQL, with expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and performing complex data manipulation.
* Experience in the Wood Products or trading environment.
