Description

The EHS Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the EHS program at Wisconsin Centrifugal to ensure adherence to federal, state and local regulatory standards and guidelines. The position works with cross-functional teams throughout the facility driving continuous improvement of our environmental and safety culture.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Formulate, develop, and manage the implementation of regulatory compliance strategies and programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and promote employee health and safety.
  • Coordinate with plant leadership to facilitate an engaged safety culture.
  • Manage and perform front line compliance functions including inspections, record keeping, reporting, and permitting to ensure ongoing EHS compliance.
  • Manage EHS budget and related vendor activities.
  • Supervise and direct Safety Staff to fulfill frontline safety compliance activities.
  • Analyze safety trends/metrics to drive actions to achieve company safety goals.
  • Represent MetalTek by participation on industry and trade association committees to proactively monitor the development of future regulations impacting the company and advise senior management regarding those regulations.

Requirements

The candidate we seek should have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety and Environmental Management or other Environmental and Safety related disciplines with a minimum of 5-7 year of EHS experience within a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of applicable EHS regulations ensuring compliance with government agencies and safety regulations is required. Strong demonstrated analytical, communication and leadership skills are essential.
